Norcrest Fine China Porcelain Small Vintage Tureen Rose Design Japan
This is a small ceramic tureen made by Norcrest Fine China (Japan). Rose pattern with gold accents and the words To Mother With Love on the lid. This size vintage tureen would have been used for sauces, gravy or a small side dish. It has two handles, a lid with a decorative knob and measures approximately 7 1/2” x 4 1/2” x 4 1/2”. It is in beautiful condition without chips, cracks or crazing. It does show light use with very light wear on lid and a bit of rim staining on the unglazed rim of dish (see/zoom photos for both). This most likely could be rubbed out with bleach but to compromise the china itself with harsh chemicals could harm the piece. Please view all photos. This would be a lovely trinket dish to gift Mom on Mother’s Day.
