Mid Century 1950s Shawnee Pottery Victorian Dancing Couple Sweetheart Planter USA
This sweet little ceramic planter is in fabulous vintage blue and yellow and features a Victorian couple courting or dancing. It was produced by Shawnee Pottery USA and is in very good condition for its age. No cracks or chips, just a bit of crazing on the inside of planter only (not the outside). Please view all photos to assess. It is approximately 5 1/4” to the top of the gentleman’s top hat and 2 3/4” to the top of her skirt. 2 3/4” wide. It is a nice thick ceramic with good weight to it. It is possible (with the chosen colors) that this piece may have even been in the 1940s. Glaze color is only on front side. Rear of planter is natural color. Adorable.
