Antique French Schmid Verreries Milk Glass Fighting Rooster Double Open Salt Cellar c. 1870
This is an antique French double open salt cellar depicting two roosters fighting. It was produced by one of the oldest French glass manufactures, Schmid Verreries (SV), which was founded in 1765. This particular piece dates to around 1870. It is in very good antique condition with just a small rim chip on one bowl (see photo) and a dark spot on underside (see photo). Again, please note, this piece does have age/wear/use and I’m guessing an amazing story to tell if it could.
