RARE Vintage/Antique Portieux Vallerysthal Frosted Crystal Glass Dog Trinket Box
This French antique is a Portieux Vallerysthal frosted crystal glass trinket box. The base is in floral design and the lid is a dog resting on a cushion with its front legs crossed. This very hard to find item dates back to the early 20th century and was designed to hold small items such as jewelry or trinkets. Could have also been used as a candy dish. Portieux Vallerysthal started glass production in 1836. This item is in very good condition for its age with only a few rim chips on base where lid rests (shown in photo). Otherwise, excellent condition. Box measures approximately 5” tall x 5” long x 4” wide. Weighs 1.6 lbs. Please view all photos.
